ReceptionistOur busy orthopedic practice has been a part of Massachusetts’ North Shore for 50 years. We are based in Beverly and have satellite locations in Danvers and Gloucester. Our primary focus is on value vs volume, data driven patient optimization and a customer-centric experience. Our team is devoted to the orthopedic care and well-being of our greater community, and we are seeking an outgoing, personable individual with prior administrative experience to help manage our front-end operations. The ideal person for this role is organized and has great planning skills – they know how to manage schedules and re-prioritize their time so that they can focus on key priorities - without the need for micro-management. They bring new ideas to management staff and can course-correct when things don’t go according to plan – in a positive manner and without focusing on the negative. Responsibilities: · Delivering the highest quality service to patients while contributing to the smooth functioning of practice operations. · Performs check in/out, accurately obtain & verify all required patient scheduling and registration information. · Understand insurance plans & policies, verify benefit eligibility, collect copayments and facilitate referrals. · Thoughtfully schedule appointments according to protocols and applies judgement to meet patient needs. · Facilitates timely flow and proactively solves flow issues and acts as a liason between patient and practice staff to ensure optimal flow and service delivery. · Respond to requests for information from patients, providers, and coworkers in a timely manner and with a positive attitude. · Maintains clean and welcoming physical environment of the reception area, ensuring a non-intrusive and calming environment. · Show you are a team player who is committed to excellence by assisting your peers with general clinic maintenance and upkeep. · Maintain HIPAA Compliance Qualifications: · Patient-centric mindset: The patient always comes first, and you will make the first impression on them. · Exceptional communication skills: ability to communicate in a clear, effective and proactive manner. · Detail-oriented: People count on you to ensure all the details are done correctly the first time around. · Ability to work independently, independent decision making is necessary · Experience in a medical office is helpful in acquiring this position · Ability to use all necessary office equipment (computers, telephones, fax machines, etc) Job Type: Full-time Hours: 8:30-5:00 p.m. Work Location: In person Highly competitive pay. Athletic TrainerReports to: Clinical Manager, Practice Administrator and Director of Physical Therapy/Athletic Performance with input and direction from assigned physician. Responsible for delivering the highest quality service to patients while contributing to the smooth functioning of practice operations. Essential Responsibilities: Will work closely with our sports medicine physicians, as well as other specialties as an assistant and provide support to our patients for sports related or other injuries under the direction of the supervising physician. This role may require direct ATC support at local school systems for practices and games on a seasonal basis. Any candidate must be open to a mixed role of field work, clinic work and possibly work in our PT clinic. The idea candidate is open to community outreach activities and promotional events or minor marketing activities to help grow our practice. Serves as a communication resource. Asks appropriate questions and solves problems. Takes complete and accurate information from patients in person and by phone, prioritizing and communicating the information to providers appropriately. Responds quickly and courteously to phone calls and requests. Seeks assistance from supervisor and others appropriately. Greets patients and escorts to exam rooms. Ensures availability of x-rays, lab slips, medical records and other pertinent info. Obtains vitals, weight, and blood pressure, draws up injections and assists providers with exam room procedures when necessary. Implements quality control standards. Provides patients with relevant instructions for specific tests and procedures for example labs, surgical information and radiology exams, helps patients schedule follow-up tests and appointments and always maintains patient confidentiality. Ensures patient records and relevant documents that are filed in the record have appropriate patient identification. Adds new medications to patient record in EMR system. Ensures that equipment and supplies necessary to carry out patient care activities are available and usable and the environment is clean and organized. Maintains an unobstructed area for patient access. Cleans rooms after patient usage and ensures appropriate disposal of contaminated materials. Tracks, orders and maintains supplies and equipment, restocks supplies. Fits durable medical equipment products to patients as needed. Works with local North Shore High School systems as an on field ATC either per diem or part time at various intervals throughout the school year. Works to understand the needs of the physicians within the practice and anticipate needs in order to facilitate an orderly and efficient patient and physician experience. Is accustomed to working in a team atmosphere and taking direction from multiple sources in a fast paced environment. Is calm under pressure and professional in all interactions. Must be able to travel to multiple office sites within the same general region as needed. MUST possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-moving environment and must understand how to maximize the efficiency of physicians and physician assistants for optimized throughput of patients. Must be flexible and enjoy working with athletes, as well as all member so the community in various settings. Has an understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations. Required Qualifications: Graduation from a formal athletic training program. Previous experience working in an orthopedic surgery setting, highly desirable, as well as previous experience working with school systems and colleges providing ATC support to athletes. Experience with custom bracing/durable medical equipment preferred. Compensation: commensurate with experience Employment type: Full time. 40 hours per week.
